States Taking Illegal Immigration Battle to Employers, June 2007
With Congress and the White House in seemingly endless gridlock over immigration reform, frustrated states have clearly taken the lead on dealing with what has become one of the nation’s major hot button issues. Over 1,400 immigration-related bills have been introduced in statehouses this year, far more than double the 570 put into play in 2006.
